One of the best evidences of a heart for Christ is standing beside the cross when adversity hits. Fallon Taylor did that in January. Ten months later, she faced the same adversity.
And Jesus still holds her heart.
Fallon’s basketball season at West Ridge High School in Blountville, Tennessee, ended last December. And she missed most of her junior year. After the grueling rehab to get ready for her senior season, Fallon suffered a second ACL injury on the same knee. She will miss almost half of her high school career, and faces another surgery Friday.
But Wednesday provided a chance to celebrate as Fallon signed to play collegiate basketball at King University.

Fallon said her faith remains strong despite another heartbreaking setback.
“I’m still going to trust in the Lord’s hands, the same way I did the first time,” Fallon said.

It’s an impressive statement about her basketball ability to get a college scholarship with limited court time after her sophomore season.
“I give all the thanks to the Lord for allowing me to play basketball again at the next level,” Fallon said.

During church service Sunday, Fallon’s pastor used Romans 8:28. And the verse rang true for Fallon.
“It really hit hard in my heart because I just know that God always has a plan for me,” Fallon said.

Not surprisingly, Fallon’s offer to continue the sport she loves came from a program at a faith-based school.
“I love that it’s a Christian university,” Fallon said.

But even though college basketball will be the fulfillment of a dream, it’s not the driving point of Fallon’s life.
“You’re not just made to play basketball or any other sport,” Fallon said.

Fallon’s dad, Clint, said he’s extremely blessed by her.
“I was fortunate to lead her to Christ,” Clint said. “I was able to baptize her. She has been a blessing to her mother and I. She’s been a good example to her sister also.”
