The Question Worth Considering
Many people focus on two things: the here and now, and how they got here.
While people plan for things like vacations and retirement, the future is often seen through a limited view.
One question people often overlook is whether they need a Savior. Many feel secure in themselves. They believe they can handle whatever comes their way. And they may do that well.
But there is one thing nobody can ever claim to control. And that’s the inevitability of death. No matter how many safety nets a person has, how many friends, how much money, how strong their beliefs — none of those things provide any assurance after death.
Even so, some choose to ignore the question. They may think they are a good person with a kind, redeemable heart. Or that sin isn’t a real thing. They might not believe they need to be saved from the eternal judgment of God. Some even think they can save themselves.
But for those who pause at the question, maybe take a moment to reflect and consider its weight. It’s eternal. Jesus said he’s the only answer. He’s the source. The Savior.
Continue to take care of the things that require earthly attention, but don’t neglect the question.
Do you need a Savior?
