Sophia Gouge plays a leading role as part of a lunch-time faith group at David Crockett High School. The senior has a heart for helping others, not only for their physical well-being but also their spiritual health.
In this Matthew516Sports video podcast, Gouge talks about the start of her faith walk as an eight-year-old. She also shares how her faith has grown as she prepares to graduate from high school. She said she wants to work with children for a career, carrying the sympathy she developed when youngsters in her family went through serious trials.
Gouge attends Cherokee Community Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City, and also is part of the youth group at Cherry Grove Baptist in Jonesborough.
